With 650+ employees, 40+ programs and services and 12+ locations, we are the largest department in the County of Marin, and it is our mission at HHS to promote and protect the health, well being, self-sufficiency, and safety of all people in Marin.

Marin County Office of Education

The Marin County Office of Education offers programs and services for students, teachers, and families in Marin County. MCOE services eighteen school districts in our county, supporting technology and educational services in public as well as private K-12 institutions.

Bay Area Community Resources logo

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) has been delivering a wide range of services to schools and other community settings throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Services are clustered in program areas that include expanded learning, behavioral and mental health, fiscal sponsorship, healthy communities, national service, and youth workforce and re-entry.
 

Be the Influence

Be the Influence is a parenting program which seeks to delay adolescent substance use and prevent harmful consequences associated with underage use. As a member of the BTI community, you can take comfort in the fact that YOU ARE NOT ALONE in dealing with the challenging job of keeping our local teens healthy and safe.

Friday Night Live youth leaders played a key role in passing Social Host Ordinances in the City of Novato — and then county-wide — which hold adults responsible for underage drinking in their homes.

Marin County Youth Commission

Marin County Youth Coalition’s goal is to act as a political voice for young people — particularly those in underserved populations, including youth of color, youth with disabilities, homeless youth, rural youth, and LGBTQ youth — by engaging with the Marin County Board of Supervisors and other policy makers.

Raising the Bar logo

The RAISING THE BAR Campaign aims to elevate kids’ experience in youth-oriented programs by changing the social norms around the consumption of alcohol and other substances. Parents, program directors, and community members work together to promote healthy choices and keep youth events substance-free.

Smoke-Free Marin

The Smoke-Free Marin Coalition provides educational support for local communities and residents in their public health and safety from the hazards of drifting smoke, tobacco and e-cigarette fires, and youth access to addictive products such as Flavor/Menthol tobacco and vape product bans.

North Marin Community Services

The Healthy Novato Initiative is a collaborative effort that supports youth in developing their internal strengths and external supports to make healthy choices when confronted with high-risk behaviors, such as underage drinking and substance use.


 

San Rafael Alcohol and Drug Coalition (SRADC)

San Rafael Alcohol and Drug Coalition (program of Alcohol Justice) unites youth and adult groups to discourage youth alcohol, marijuana, opioids and prescription drug abuse. We use environmental prevention strategies to build youth leadership, support alcopop-free zones, promote safe and accountable stores, work to reduce alcohol and marijuana use among underage youth, and work to reduce opiate and prescription drug abuse.

West Marin Coalition for Healthy Youth

The West Marin Coalition for Healthy Youth was created to change community norms with respect to underage use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Our mission is to mobilize across all sectors of the community and work collaboratively to significantly reduce the incidence of underage use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Marin Healthy Youth Partnerships

Marin Healthy Youth Partnerships (MHYP) works collaboratively to reshape community norms that drive youth substance use. We partner with young people, families, schools and other community organizations to promote a thriving environment.


 

Alcohol Justice

Proyecto Latino TAM – El Proyecto Latino de Alcance Comunitario TAM trabaja en conectar a la comunidad de habla hispana de Marin con tratamiento efectivo para el Trastorno por Uso de Opioides (TUO).
