Let’s Talk Community Discussion – The Parenting Thing is Hard

Let’s Talk! In the first of six conversations in the Let’s Talk Community Discussion series for 2021-22, local experts, students and community members will discuss what is happening developmentally during adolescence and some of the unique challenges in the current environment among youth.

Dr. Emily Tejani is the featured guest speaker. Dr. Tejani trained at the Yale University Department of Psychiatry and is board certified in three medical specialties: child & adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and addiction medicine.

Annika Danne will share the youth perspective. Annika is an 11th grade student at Redwood High School and a member of the Youth Advisory Council.

The discussion will be moderated by Jaclynn Davis who authored the Let’s Talk booklet. She received her Masters in Public Health and Social Work. She focuses on adolescent health and youth development through her work with local school districts and teaching at Dominican University.
